My Question: Autocoding is a very productive feature in NVivo for PC. Are the same features also available for NVivo for Mac?
Our Answer: NVivo for Mac presently has only one feature of the autocoding options, namely after import of a dataset, which is the generic Excel-format from a result of for example a questionnaire.
After such import NVivo for Mac can apply autocoding of Cases (respondents) and Theme Nodes (open questions) as well as importing a Case Classification (from the multpile choice questions). The open questions are therefore named Codable and the multiple choice questions are called Classifying.
It needs also to be mentioned that a special import routine from SurveyMonkey is presently not included in NVivo for Mac.
